This documentary, made by and about Nan Goldin, takes us from her upbringing in a middle-class suburb of Washington, DC to the wild party years of the 1970s and 1980s in New York and the devastating impact of AIDS on her community over the last decade. It is an intensely personal and intimate journey throughout the New York artistic underground over two decades.
