- seek out our training/documentation page on iMovie
- do a test recording/know your equipment
- for video recording, use a tripod for stability and ease of camera movement
- check your incoming audio
- for video footage, use the handle technique before and after your scene
- titles stay on for as long as you can read them twice
- don't use crazy video effects if you don't have to
- frame your subject matter; make sure you are capturing your subject
- keep your focus and be aware of what the camera is picking up
- ask for help when you need it
