"A complete digitisation of Anna Birkbeck's 250 page album, rediscovered in the Birkbeck College archives. The diary spans the years 1825 to circa 1862, and contains contributions from noted intellects of the day, including an unpublished poem by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, entitled The Death of Love."

The diaries of Beatrice Webb (1858 – 1943), including the original manuscript volumes and typescript copies with associated ephemera. Webb kept a diary from 1873 until her death in 1943, providing a detailed account of her life and work. Topics covered include the Fabian Society, the Labour Party, trade unionism, the suffrage movement, LSE, local government and communism, as well as details of Webb’s personal life, her marriage to Sidney Webb and descriptions of friends and acquaintances.

"This collection consists of the complete runs of two Edinburgh journals, 'The Attempt' (10 volumes, 1865-74) and its successor 'The Ladies' Edinburgh Magazine' (6 volumes, 1875-80). These publications were produced by a leading Edinburgh women's club, known during the period as the Edinburgh Essay Society or the Ladies' Edinburgh Essay Society, but subsequently as the Ladies' Edinburgh Debating Society.
