Permalinks (for use in Scholar, syllabi, etc.): Permalinks for entire Database

Provides instructions on creating permanent links to library materials that are in subscription databases including articles, ebooks, streaming video, etc.

Permalinks for Databases

  • Click the share button (grey dots with links) to the right of the database in the A-Z List.
  • A Share box will appear containing a friendly url

  • Copy the friendly url and paste where needed; it will take the user into that database
  • These are formatted to work on and off campus
  • For example, Academic Search Complete looks like this:

 https://cnu.libguides.com/ebscoacademic

  • It works like a url shortener and contains the actual link with needed proxy information, but isn't long and unmanageable.
