Do you need materials not available at Trible Library? Try using CNU's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. ILL is a free service for the Christopher Newport community.  It can be an invaluable resource and expands the resources to which you have access. We are only able to borrow articles, books, and other items that are not available at Trible Library. To see if CNU has the information you need, visit the Trible Library catalog (for books, DVDs, CDs, and other items) or Journal Finder (for journals). If you need help finding materials, please visit a reference librarian for assistance.

To effectively utilize these resources, please visit Trible Library and speak with a reference librarian. 

As a CNU student, faculty, or staff member you are able to borrow materials from libraries at other area colleges and universities that belong to the Virginia Tidewater Consortium (VTC) for Higher Education.  BEFORE you go to another library, you must fill out a short VTC application and obtain a borrower card at the Circulation Desk in the Trible Library.  You must present the VTC borrower card and your CNU ID at a member institution library in order to borrow materials.  The VTC cards are good for one semester.
