Primo Update: Home

New library catalog launch!

Primo VE Logo

Primo is our new catalog and discovery search product that provides one box to search physical and electronic items held by the Trible Library.  Primo also allows the user to log into the library account via SSO (Single Sign On) - your CNU credentials (email & password,) to see your checkouts, place holds, and create lists of items.

Persistent links or permalinks are used when needing to go directly to a resource, such as a book or an article.  These can be found throughout Primo, once you click on a title and are on the page for the resource.

Please note that ALL permalinks are changing upon "go live" which will be on January 8th 2025.  If you have any links that you are using in Scholar or elsewhere, you will have to update them.  In order to update them, you will need to do another search to find the material and copy the permalink to replace the old link.  Please contact a librarian if you have trouble finding the material again.

When entering text into the main search box, facets will appear:

Everything - searches all content including physical and electronic items

Library Catalog - searches only Trible Library held items including physical items and database content.

Articles - will search databases for content.  You will have some options for narrowing down the search, but this does not replace searching within a single database and having more advanced options.

Course Reserves - only search material placed on reserve and can be checked out at the circulation desk.

As seen in the above image, here is the location of the permalink icon that will display the correct link to use when sharing links.  The address automatically appears and the ability to copy to the clipboard is shown.
