Sparks are flying between feminist Germaine Greer and CBC TV host Larry Zolf. Greer, author of the blockbuster 1970 feminist manifesto The Female Eunuch, is supposed to debate anti-abortion politician Joe Borowski. But the discussion is lacklustre until Zolf jumps in, sneering at Greer's middle-class background and accusing her of ignoring ethnic and class differences among women.

"The Germaine Greer Archive currently fills 487 archive boxes (occupying 82 metres of shelf space) mainly documenting the period 1959-2010 and is still in the process of being created; two deposits have been received in 2016 and a third was delivered by Germaine Greer in March 2017. The University of Melbourne purchased the archive in 2013. It documents Greer’s work as an academic, a film, TV and theatre performer, a writer (notably her extensive work as a journalist) and an environmentalist; and her personal relationships with friends, lovers, family, colleagues, students and fans."

Professor Germaine Greer delivered this year's Winifred Mercier public lecture to a packed Gandhi Hall on Tuesday evening.

Born in Melbourne and educated in Australia and at Cambridge University, Professor Greer's first book, The Female Eunuch (1969), took the world by storm and remains one of the most influential texts of the feminist movement.
