Includes resources such as the National Adoption Directory, statistics, and links for other national organizations. The site can be searched by keyword. An advanced search feature and an alphabetical index are also provided.

Assists States in the area of child welfare services. Provides grants to States, Tribes and communities for a variety of child services including child protective services (child abuse and neglect), family preservation and support, foster care, adoption and independent living. The website provides information on programs, issues, laws and funding.

"The mission of the Children's Defense Fund is to Leave No Child Behind® and to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities." The CDF is a private non-profit organization that does take funding from the governement. The site provides access to .pdf publications and statistical data on a number of topics related to children. The site also provides links to a number of other related resources.

The Federal Government's Eldercare Locator website was created to help connect seniors and caregivers with information on services available on a state, local, and community level. Users may search the service online following the guided search procedure, or if they prefer, they may choose to use the number provided (1-800-677-1116) to speak to someone who can provide them with the information they need.

Members have been tutors and mentors in urban public schools and after-school programs, On the website those interested in joing can find information on the program. If the program is not available in your area, the site provides information on helping to expand it into new areas. It also has links to additional sites for volunteer opportunities.

A resource for social service professionals. Users can subscribe to the monthly digest which includes grey literature and scholarship information. In addition the site includes news, articles, and other features of interest. It has a search feature and an RSS feed option. Links to the full-text of some articles require a fee or subscription.
