Accessibility Resources: Parking & Building Access

  • Designated parking spots are available for those with appropriate tags in the parking lot beside the library (east side.) Visitors should obtain a parking pass at the Parking Office inside the Parking Garage.
  • The doors on three sides of the building have ADA push button access. The parking lot side (east,) the 24/7 door across from the Luter Building (north) and the main campus door across from the DSU [David Student Union] (west.)
  • Ramps are available at each of the accessible door entrances.
  • If for some reason the doors are not working correctly or you require assistance, please call and let us know (757-594-7133).
  • Once you enter the building there are elevators at either end.
  • The elevator on the east (parking lot) side of the building goes to the second and third floors. The elevator on the main campus (DSU) side goes only to the second floor.
  • Accessible restroom facilities are provided throughout the building.
  • There is a single user accessible gender neutral restroom on the first floor across from the exhibit/study space towards the middle of the building. 
  • There are single user accessible restrooms on the first floor in the 24/7 room near the main circulation desk. [Luter side (north)]
